Getting Ready

It's less than 4 months before we leave so we are busy taking care of last minute details: applying for visas, buying clothes and supplies we'll need, continuing our research and reading, and other random things. One big thing that recently got settled was renting the condo. We've been to the travel clinic at MGH to get updated vaccines and medicines. (In case you haven't heard, I was very proud of myself for getting 6 shots all at once--even the nurse was impressed.) Also, we bought some new (larger) backpacks in the hopes of fitting everything we need for 6 months. That should be interesting. But it's all exciting and making it feel very real.

  1. I think you did a GREAT job with this site, Alex.
I really enjoyed the FAQs segment - it answered all my questions. It will be fun (and assuring for parents) to tag along with you and Chris on this unforgettable journey. Love, Mom K

  2. I just lost the comment that I wrote to you. Any way the blog is very good and organized. Although I would not except anything less from you. Knowing you as I do.
